St Anthony’s follows the BCE Model of Pedagogy. This begins with a focus on learners and their learning. During planning teachers start with the approved Religion Curriculum and plan around the needs of the students, differentiation is made for students differing learning needs and this is reflected in planning documents. Teachers are provided with planning a release time to allow them to collaboratively develop units of work that will actively engage the learners. Clear learning intentions and success criteria are established for units of work and made explicit to the children. Teachers establish positive, welcoming, inclusive classroom environments which provide a diverse range of learning opportunities that enable all students to progress their learning towards stated and success criteria, support is given to ensure that all students have multiple opportunities to demonstrate their learning. As part of the learning and teaching of Religion teachers provide feedback to students on their progression. All units of work are evaluated prior to planning new units of work.
